Upgrading Omega Scan'O'Vision Colour intallations on Windows NT and Windows 2000

Retreive upgrade file for internet site
	http://www.omega-electronics.ch/dwnlOSV.htm
or	http://www.omega-electronics.ch/download/upgrade_osv4.exe to take the file directly.

The Upgrade is now currently greater that 1.44mb.
This means that if you are not directly connected to the internet, or are not able to copy the file using a CD writer, zip drive or over a network you will need to split the file to be able to copy it to your Omega Scan-O-Vision PC.

If you are able to copy the file directly, you can of coarse simply run the upgrade program upgrade_osv4.exe directly.

Splitting the File.	* requires 2 x 1.44 blank diskettes and Winzip software

Start Winzip
From File menu, select open Archive, and open the file upgrade_osv4.exe
Select the file data1.cab and extract this file to first diskette.
Select all other files, excluding data1.cab, and extract to 2nd diskette.

On Omega Scan'O'Vision PC, create a folder on the harddisk (e.g. "upgrade")
and copy the contents of both floppy disks to this folder.

Run setup (setup.exe)

NOTE: You should have copied 14 files in total. Depending on certain system settings, your PC may not display all files in windows explorer. (e.g. _setup.dll). It may also not display the file extentions at all (e.g. setup.exe will apear as setup)

If the above fails and you cannot change the folder settings (see windows help for info), you can use the next method.
Start a command prompt and type the following, where [enter] means press the return key.
C: [enter]
md \upgrade [enter]
cd \upgrade [enter]
copy a:\*.* [enter]

(insert second diskette)

copy a:\*.* [enter]
setup [enter]
(upgrade program will run)

exit [enter]

In either case, the upgrade folder can be removed once the upgrade is complete.
